General Philosophy Discussion Solutions
Position papers will require that you respond to one of the following questions and analyze a scenario by applying or critiquing the philosophical theories we cover. It will require, therefore, that knowledge of theories and concepts covered is demonstrated.
Note that in this paper it is imperative to have an argumentative thesis, adequate analysis in your own words, scenarios to illustrate your points, and philosophical support of your argument from our readings/studies of philosophical theories we’ve studied to date. It is important to refer to and use the course materials relevant to your subject. This is an absolute requirement. (It must be true that only someone who was in this class could have written the paper.) If you write on a topic the course specifically addresses, your paper should show a thorough understanding of the readings and class discussions on the issue.
Be sure to cite all of your outside sources, using APA format (for in-text citations and on the References page). On the syllabus page, you will find information on APA format and resources. Use quotes sparingly, less than 10% of your paper, and follow up with your analysis as appropriate.
This paper should be between 750-1000 words in APA format. Note that you do not need an abstract page for this paper. The rubric is found below
